In 2014, during my degree in Creative Writing, Journalism, and English Literature, I landed my first freelance job, ghostwriting the autobiography for a wonderful and feisty lady. With the team at LifeBook, we worked together to create a beautiful story that she could leave behind for her family. That’s when I fell in love with working with people and their words.

From writing for an online cleaning magazine to creating landing pages for an office chair brand to managing social media for a fine-dining restaurant, I’ve been helping companies find their audience, build customer loyalty, and achieve real results through the power of language for over a decade.

I dipped my toe into the world of social media back in 2016 when I created an account to share book reviews, Scottish travel inspiration and self-care challenges.

I’ve grown this account organically to over 73,000 followers and have worked with brands such as Amazon Publishing, Nordic Socks, Electric Monkey, Fox’s Biscuits, McDonald’s, Costa, Bird & Blend, and many more. Through my Instagram account @bethsbookshelf, I stay up to date on trends, significant social media updates, and what’s currently working on Instagram.

Outside of freelancing, I tend to stay creative, always with my nose between the pages of a book, working on my novel, taking pictures of pretty places in Scotland, or playing games with my son.
